CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT! Really enjoyed my breakfast here. Everything was made fresh right in front of me there were many local Specialties in the menu. Pricing was surprisingly cheap but the quality and portions were massive. Definitely a locals spot but being from out of town I felt welcomed. Staff were enthusiastic and helpful with food items and questions. It was quite busy but the cook prep my food in now time at all. Establishment was very clean and tidy and while eating my food I could see everyone who worked there cleaning up quickly and thoroughly. 10/10 Local Diamond establishment with a long history and family feel.

My wife and I fly in and out of DTW often to visit family. A year or two ago we stumbled upon this gem looking for a breakfast place nearby. Good food, good service, great prices. We’ve been back a few times since and breakfast here has become a part of our itinerary!

Easter Sunday with surprisingly few restaurants open we decided to give Sunrise a try. What a wonderful surprise. The place looked very clean and we were greeted by several people from behind the counter when we came in. The menu was limited, however, we were able to find some selections and ordered. Our breakfast arrived at the table quickly and was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. If I were to voice a complaint it might be that it is a cash only place. That being said everything else was exceptional and we will be back.

This is a grip of nostalgia from the word go. This restaurant is never more than it needs to be. One person on the grill, one waitress, and a great lineup of breakfast and lunch options. The place is cash only, which is not something you see everyday. And EVERYTHING on the menu is under $10. You won’t find a better value for breakfast in the area. The cynics would say it needs to be renovated, but if they do it would take away from the charm. Nothing needs to change about this place. We will be here again. Thank you

Great food, nice variety of breakfast options, service is quick and attentive, very polite folks too. Great value for money. Ordered the hot dog & cheese omelette (comes with hash browns and toast), grilled ham & cheese sandwich with a side of fries, and a hot chocolate (includes one free refill)… $19 plus tip. Cash only so be prepared.

BRING CASH Place has a very peaceful vibe. Food portions are huge.you can see your food being made, which is very rare nowadays.
